At Jolie Vie Wellness, the Thermal Experience is thoughtfully designed to enhance your wellbeing by cycling through three restorative stations: Hot, Cold, and Rest.
As you explore the facility, you’ll find various options within each station that you can mix and match for a personalized journey.
We recommend spending 10 to 15 minutes in the Hot station, choosing between soothing Infratherapy or a traditional Finnish Sauna to deeply relax your muscles and boost circulation.
Next, transition to the Cold station for 30 seconds up to 2 minutes with either a refreshing cold shower or invigorating plunge, which helps to stimulate your nervous system and promote recovery.
Finally, rest for about 20 minutes in the Relax station, where meditation and calm spaces allow your body and mind to fully absorb the benefits of the cycle.
This sequence maximizes detoxification, relaxation, and rejuvenation, making your wellness retreat at Jolie Vie a truly transformative experience.

*This intentional pause from screens is designed for your benefit — allowing your nervous system to settle, your mind to slow, and your body to fully recharge.
Please note that outside food and beverages (other than water) are not permitted on site. This guideline is in place to complement the detoxification and recovery benefits of the thermal cycle, support an allergen-safe environment, and avoid contradicting the experience with inflammatory foods or drinks.
Our Wellness Lounge is open and offers carefully selected, healthy, local snacks and non-alcoholic beverages that align with the restorative intention of your visit.
Make yourself a favor — arrive lightly, unplug fully, and allow yourself the space to rest.
At Jolie Vie Wellness, we welcome guests aged 6 and above, fostering an inclusive and family-friendly environment rooted in respect, calm, and presence.
Children are welcome to enjoy the retreat when accompanied and closely supervised by an adult at all times, ensuring both their safety and the comfort of other guests.
Our infrared sauna is generally considered suitable for children; however, sessions should be kept short and spaced with adequate rest intervals, and children must be closely monitored by an adult at all times.
To preserve the peaceful ambiance of the retreat, calm and mindful behavior is required throughout all areas of Jolie Vie Wellness.
If you have any questions or would like guidance regarding children’s access to specific facilities, we invite you to contact us directly so we can provide personalized recommendations.
At Jolie Vie Wellness, our thermal experience is designed to support relaxation, circulation, and overall well-being through heat-based therapies such as saunas, thermal pools, and contrast bathing.
For the safety of both mother and baby, participation in the thermal experience is not recommended during pregnancy, as exposure to elevated temperatures may pose risks during this time.
Holistic relaxation facials, however, are considered safe during pregnancy and can be a beautiful way to support rest, comfort, and skin balance. All products and techniques used are gentle and adapted to support the body’s natural changes during pregnancy.
We invite expecting guests to explore facial treatments and other gentle, non-heat-based services available at Jolie Vie. Our team is always happy to guide you toward options that feel supportive, nurturing, and aligned with your pregnancy journey.
Yes, Jolie Vie Wellness is designed to be as accessible and welcoming as possible for guests with reduced mobility.
Our retreat is located entirely on a single-level floor, with automatic doors and wide entryways that accommodate wheelchair access.
Our locker rooms and showers are equipped with accessible seating to support comfort and safety.
Additionally, one of our on-site tiny homes is wheelchair accessible for overnight stays.
While our pools include stairs with sturdy railings, they are unfortunately not wheelchair accessible due to pool engineering limitations. We understand this may be disappointing and want to be fully transparent.
That said, guests with reduced mobility can still enjoy a meaningful thermal cycle experience through access to the sauna and cold shower*, allowing them to benefit from contrast therapy in a way that feels safe and supportive.
*Please note: Using the sauna and cold shower from a wheelchair may result in the wheelchair becoming warm and wet. Guests should be comfortable with this before participating.
Accessibility is a core priority at Jolie Vie, and we welcome conversations about individual needs.
At Jolie Vie Wellness, we prioritize a clean, refreshing, and respectful environment for all guests.
Before enjoying the pools and saunas, all visitors are required to pass through the changing rooms and take a shower. Shower gel is provided on site for your convenience.
This simple step supports personal hygiene, enhances comfort for everyone, and helps preserve the quality of our water and facilities.
We invite you to see it as part of the ritual — a moment to arrive, rinse away the day, and ease into your wellness experience.
At Jolie Vie Wellness, we intentionally create spaces for deep rest and presence.
Silence is required in the saunas, relaxation areas, and hammocks, allowing guests to fully unwind and settle into stillness.
Low-volume conversation is welcome in the pools, walking trails, and around the firepit, so long as it remains mindful and does not disrupt the peaceful atmosphere of the retreat.
For moments of gentle connection, quiet conversation is welcome in the Wellness Lounge, which is thoughtfully designed for low-volume socializing without disrupting the tranquility of the retreat.
This thoughtful balance supports both quiet restoration and gentle connection, ensuring a harmonious experience for all.
At Jolie Vie Wellness, we intentionally create a screen-free environment to support deep rest, presence, and nervous system regulation.
Electronic devices are strictly not permitted in the thermal cycle areas or treatment rooms. This includes cell phones, cameras, and any photo or video equipment. All devices must be turned off or on silent and left in locker while on the premises.
At the end of your thermal experience, phone use is permitted only in the Wellness Lounge, with the volume turned off.
Guests who visit exclusively for the Lounge—to enjoy snacks and beverages, study, or read—may also use their devices respectfully in that space.
To protect the privacy, comfort, and safety of all guests, photography and videography are strictly prohibited throughout the retreat. Guests who do not respect this policy will be asked to leave the premises without reimbursement.
These guidelines are in place for your benefit and the benefit of others—so everyone can fully disconnect, unwind, and experience Jolie Vie as it was intended.
*Please note: No Wi-Fi is available anywhere on site, including within our tiny home accommodations.
No. Alcohol consumption is strictly prohibited throughout Jolie Vie Wellness, including within the facility and all pool areas.
Heat exposure during the thermal cycle can significantly increase dehydration, and combining alcohol with elevated temperatures may pose serious health risks.
To support your safety and overall well-being, we strongly encourage guests to stay well hydrated throughout their visit.
A water station is available on site, and we recommend bringing a reusable water bottle.
In addition, outside food and beverages are not permitted on site, including during private bookings. This guideline supports a safe, hygienic, and allergen-conscious environment and ensures that the detoxification and recovery benefits of the thermal experience are not compromised by inflammatory foods or drinks.
Exception for private bookings: Celebration cakes or pastries may be permitted for special occasions with prior approval.
These policies are in place to protect your health, maintain a calm and consistent environment, and allow all guests to fully benefit from the restorative Jolie Vie experience.
At Jolie Vie Wellness Retreat, your health, safety, and overall experience are a priority. Outside food and snacks are strictly prohibited on site, including during private bookings.
This policy is essential to maintaining a safe, hygienic, and allergen-conscious environment, while also supporting the full detoxification and anti-inflammatory benefits of the thermal experience.
Outside foods or beverages may contradict the restorative intention of your visit by introducing inflammatory ingredients that interfere with the body’s natural recovery and regulation processes.
In alignment with our values, this policy also allows us to support local producers and Canadian brands whose products meet our wellness standards. Our Wellness Lounge offers a carefully curated selection of healthy, locally sourced snacks and non-alcoholic beverages, intentionally chosen to complement the therapeutic purpose of the retreat.
These measures ensure a consistent, high-quality wellness experience for all guests while supporting both personal well-being and the local community.
